Direct School Admission (DSA)

Our sports for Direct School Admission are Volleyball (Boys & Girls), Netball, Hockey (Boys), Badminton (Boys) and
Floorball (Girls). The school will allocate its DSA vacancies to the five Sports CCAs based on school needs.

 Selection Stage  

Applicants & their guardian/parent will receive an email with details pertaining to the selection stage. All applicants will undergo tests & interviews.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, schedules and format of the selection processes are subject to change. Please refer to the schedule below for the projected dates of the selection.

Session D1
Floorball Girls, Hockey & Volleyball Boys
Saturday, 2nd July 2022
9.00am to 11.00am

Session D2
Badminton Boys, Netball & Volleyball Girls
Saturday, 9th July 2022
9.00am to 11.00am

*All our selection will be face to face at St. Hilda's Secondary School.




Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. More information regarding the DSA can be found on the MOE DSA Website. 

The application is free of charge and will be open from 5th May to 1st June 2022

Admission Criteria  

(A) Academic Performance

Applicants currently studying in local national schools

Obtained a pass in the English Language and at least an overall percentage of 50% for the Primary 6 Mid-year Examinations.

For applicants not studying in a MOE mainstream primary schools - you will need to apply for a registration number (RG No.) before you can apply through the DSA-Sec portal.

For shortlisted international students, you are reminded to take and fulfill the requirements of the AEIS test to be successful in DSA. You can refer to the link

(B) Physical Fitness Performance (applies to students currently studying in local national schools)

Achieved at least a Silver Award in the most recent NAPFA Test.

(C) Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Performance

Preferably fulfilled one of the following:

1. Represented School in Competition (Zonal / National) 

2. Member of School Volleyball, Netball, Hockey (Boys), Floorball (Girls) & Badminton (Boys) Team

3. Represented School in any Sports CCA

(D) Skills and Interview

Applicants will be tested on their skills and physical abilities.

Applicants will undergo an interview with the respective CCAs they applied for.

Important Information

Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent. 

Meeting all criteria does not guarantee students will be shortlisted/ given an offer.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4.
